My Kitchen in France

Our kitchen in France has been a busy one. We have eaten out only once since I’ve been here so I wanted to share a few photos and recipes with you. Last week I made a great and easy risotto; this Sunday I made a taco fiesta for M and a few of his teammates while they watched a couple football games. Before the tacos hit the table I whipped up some homemade guacamole, cutting avocado is maybe one of the most fun things to do (for me anyway, here’s a video on how to do it if you loathe it).

Tonight I made quinoa burgers from a recipe I found on Pinterest. I substituted cayenne pepper instead of cumin and silly me didn’t read far enough into the recipe before I decided to buy the ingredients and of course we don’t have a food processor or any type of blender in France so I had to make do and mix everything by hand and hope for the best that the patties would stick together. In spite of that, they were good; I’m looking forward to making them when I have a food processor with me.

What have you been making lately? I’d love to see what your Pinterest boards look like so if you would like to leave a link to your page in a comment below!
